LockUpLead^TM for Lawn and Garden is also great as a wash-down product for masonry surfaces like sidewalks and patios. Simply apply and wash off while wet to remove lead paint dust. Whenever possible, paint chips that are large enough to be visible should be collected and disposed of (spray with LockUpLead, then use disposable rags, shovel, etc to collect visible paint chips, double-bag in sturdy contractor bags, and dispose of according to any applicable local and federal requirements).

Application rates of 30 - 60 square feet are typical in residential setting where the source of lead contamination is primarily old paint chips and dust and the total lead content is under 1000 parts per million to bring the toxicity-adjusted lead level to under 400 parts per million, the current USEPA standard.  More or less product may be needed, depending on specific site conditions, and no guarantee of specific reductions is guaranteed because of of varying site conditions.
